Coverage: unless a variant is established, this policy covers all Kalapa Media digital properties.

Controller or controller responsible for the processing: Controller or controller responsible for the processing is the natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data; where the purposes and means of such processing are determined by Union or Member State law, the controller or the specific criteria for its nomination may be provided for by Union or Member State law.

Processor: Processor is a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which processes personal data on behalf of the controller.

Recipient: Recipient is a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or another body, to which the personal data are disclosed, whether a third party or not. However, public authorities which may receive personal data in the framework of a particular inquiry in accordance with Union or Member State law shall not be regarded as recipients; the processing of those data by those public authorities shall be in compliance with the applicable data protection rules according to the purposes of the processing.

Third party: Third party is a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or body other than the data subject, controller, processor and persons who, under the direct authority of the controller or processor, are authorized to process personal data.

Consent: Consent of the data subject is any freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous indication of the data subject’s wishes by which he or she, by a statement or by a clear affirmative action, signifies agreement to the processing of personal data relating to him or her.

When does Kalapa Media collect personal information?
We collect information from you when you register for a Kalapa Media events or programs or when you create a Kalapa Media Account on http://www.kalapamedia.com, subscribe to a newsletter, respond to a survey, fill out a form, register for a program , place an order, or enter information on one of our websites to provide us with feedback of some sort.

What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our websites?
When visiting our websites we collect the Google Analytics data (more details here: https://policies.google.com/privacy#infocollect), server logs including user IP address and we use cookies (more about this below).

  • Create or update a Kalapa Media account

When registering for a Kalapa Media event on our websites or when you create a Kalapa Media Account on a Kalapa Media website, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number or other details to process your record and to help Kalapa Media provide you with training or support, depending on the program or curriculum in which you are enrolled.

What personal information do we collect from the people that donate on our websites?

When donating on our websites, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information (only 4 last digits of CC number are stored in our database) or other details to process your donation and help you with your experience.

How do we use your information?

When you register, create an account, make a purchase, sign up for one of our newsletters, respond to a survey or marketing communication, browse our web pages, or use certain other site features we may use the information you provide in the following ways:

  • To process your registrations or payments such as dues
  • To track your participation in our curriculum or other programs
